Of all the crazy things people propose, I'd like to see the merits of this one debated. Why shouldn't fathers have some say over this kind of thing? Everyone sure as shite wants our input (in the form of dolla dolla bills, yo) when it otherwise comes to children.

Because they can't verify it's their kid.
That's why.
That's why.

The problem is how do you prove who is the father and who isn't, especially early on in the pregnancy when the baby should ideally be aborted (it's not ideal at all since it should have never been conceived in the first place, but no use crying over spilt seed at this point). She could come in with any dude who would agree to it and sign off. I'm just saying legislating it is a moot point since it's pretty much unenforceable.

If abortion is murder, there should be no say from anyone to begin with. How the hypocrisy of agreeing to a more amenable system of abortion from those who claim it is murder is seemingly going unnoticed here is truly beyond me.
Essentially, it is the equivalent of supporting legislation meant to limit the number of murders by requiring a certain number of people to sign off any given murder first. It is a position incompatible with the moral stance claimed by those supporting it.
