Right, because those schools know a championship football coach when they see one.

I understand what the OP is trying to ask. I would say the majority of LSU players drafted during Miles' tenure would have been drafted almost regardless of what school they went to. I suspect some who weren't would have been if they had been coached by a more competent staff.
This is exactly what the question was. Thanks for having the balls to give a straight answer.

How many LSU players did not have had the talent to play in the NFL, but
Any player at any school that does not have the talent to play in the NFL will ever play in the NFL.
Conversely, just because a college athlete does not play in the NFL, that in no way indicates that he was not a good college player (Will Blackwell for example) and does not indicate that coaching failed him. Good college player, just not pro material.
Any relevant discussion of a coaching staffs ability to develop college players that wants to bring star ranking into the conversation is disingenuous; a somewhat arbitrary ranking given out by journalists actually have no bearing on how good a player will be at the college or pro level. Do they get some right - yes; but they get a far greater proportion wrong. The are thousands of 5 and 4 stars that never made the NFL and the reason was not coaching.

probably...maybe

and some who were might not have been if coached by a more incompetent staff
like most have said, its an impossible question to answer

I would also like to thank tigertracts for using his balls to formulate a comprehensive sentence.

there is absolutely no way to know this, so its kinda hard to have any type of discussion on this
Actually, there is.
The answer is zero. There have been no players who have set foot on LSU's campus between 2005 and now that were, prior to their first practice as a freshman at LSU, ready for the NFL, and that received no benefit from the coaching at LSU.
It's a dumb attempt at slighting Miles and his "player development," and it is ill-timed, considering in Week 15 of the 2014 NFL season, some of the players that Miles recruited and coached for several years are having historically good rookie seasons.
But I am sure Hill, Landry and Beckham would have been just fine without any coaching in college.

I can also tell you I gave up my season tickets 6 years ago due to Good Ole Les.
Thanks for that. One less angry, whiny dickhead near me ruining the experience of Tiger Stadium.

Boudreaux, you are skirting around the question, and you know exactly what I mean, but you , like the others, seem to want to dodge the issue. Do you honestly think coaching has nothing to do with who gets to play in the NFL? Yes, lots of awfully talented players never make it in the nfl , and I suspect coaching has quite a bit to do with it.Too bad we couldn't get Saban to check in on this topic

right
but if one is to try and understand what the OP is attempting to say (which is difficult), I think he means what players did Miles coach up that wouldn't have made it to the NFL if say then went to...Ole Miss or somewhere else?
obviously the OP is a complete retard, but I think that was his point

yeah because Saban recruits so many 2* players and coaches them up, eh?

Yep, all 2 star out of HS

I love the creative ways our fans bash the players and coaches. This site is so awesome.
It is threads like this that keep me coming back daily. The entertainment is priceless.
Let me guess, Saban, on the other hand, is making NFL out of nothing. I mean, if you ignore the fact that Saban pays 5 star after 5 star to come and play and many do not pan out at all in the NFL. But that wouldn't be his fault.
Our fans are literally some of the worst in CFB. Keep up the good work....I mean stereotypes.

He doesn't have to. He just takes our 5 star Louisiana players of the year.

I love it!!!
I hope Miles stays here forever just to torment "fans" like you. Your misery brings me so much joy.

Yep, pretty much all of this. If Miles fails to land a class entirely made up of 4-5 stars, fans will bitch. Yet when that same collection of 4-5 stars, who statistically are most likely to end up playing in the NFL, ends up making the NFL, it's apparently a strike against Miles?
Gotta be the most mushbrained fanbase in all of America.

Nobody on this board "knows" anything. We all have opinions and that's mine. No biggie.
