Listening to Hans Zimmer....

As much as I love "Time", the song flight in "Man of Steel" is arguably just as good. As subpar as the MoS score was, this track is on the same level as all of his other great tracks.

"In the Beginning" on the "Son of God" soundtrack is awesome. I never saw the movie, but damn is that song epic.
"Time" is still the GOAT soundtrack song.

For me when it comes to Zimmer I usually favor his most recent work, whatever is his latest score that's what I find myself listening to the most. Right now I'm constantly listening to the Interstellar score.

Badass track
For me, it's "Shenzou" from Gravity.
Although Zimmer blew the damn doors off the Interstellar soundtrack

"You're So Cool" is easily his best work.

I listen to Hans Zimmer Pandora at work almost every day when I'm not editing audio. It really helps make the more mundane tasks during the day seem epic.

Hans Zimmer is about as hit or miss with his soundtracks as Ridley Scott is with his films. There are some that he does that are absolutely genius and others where he obviously phoned it in. He's a good but not great composer IMO.

Although Hans is the GOAT
The single most emotional piece from a score I have ever heard is
Smiling - Harry-Gregson Williams

That upvote..
that's me
You can literally go all the way back to the early 90's and enjoy the genius that is Hans Zimmer. I know people will argue that John Williams is the GOAT, but Zimmer is literally right there with him.
Son of God is his best work in recent years; however, what he did for Interstellar worked to perfection.

Really? I think the MoS soundtrack is outstanding.
My favorite tracks by Zimmer:
"Flight" - Man of Steel
"Spectres in the Fog" - The Last Samurai
"Woad to Ruin" - King Arthur
"If You Love These People" - Man of Steel
"Day One" - Interstellar
The whole Modern Warfare 2 soundtrack is pretty sweet.
"Like a Dog Chasing Cars" - The Dark Knight
Damn. Now it's gonna have to be a Hans Zimmer day at work.

I mean I liked MoS, it just wasn't my favorite. A lot of the songs kinda sounded similar. But Flight was one that stuck out to be my favorite.

I like "the battle" from Gladiator.

Hardly. There are so many great composers out there. Alan Silvestri, Jerry Goldsmith, Elmer Bernstein, Bernard Herrmann, James Horner and John Williams I would all rank over Hans Zimmer.
