it's what they put in aircraft tires, for a few reasons, extreme temp swings, pressure fluctuation not an issue

My dad did it for a while, I think more for novelty more than anything else.

What percentage of nitrogen do they put in the tires? It's not much higher than in air. It's far from 100% and probably closer to 90%. If you're fine waiting your money on 10% more nitrogen, I've got no qualms either.

I don't know about all that. I work for a gas supplier and the only nitrogen mix we regularly sell is a nitrogen/co2 blend for dark beer. We sell thousands of gas combinations for different applications. The auto shops we sell to are buying pure nitrogen. The only 90/10 mixes we blend outside of CO2 for beer (which is a 70/30) are oxygen, helium, and hydrogen. All 3 of which are more expensive than pure nitrogen.

It does cut down on pressure fluctuation in extreme temps but not really noticeable. May save you a dollar or two on the back end with gas mileage.

Nitrogen is a inert gas ! The pressure does not fluctuate with temp.
