They were dominant programs in an era where they were one of only a few schools that went all in for football. They were the only teams willing to spend the money, and the only schools constantly on tv. Now that there are 20-30ish teams willing to do this, and everyone is on tv, the schools that are going to be consistently good are the ones with natural recruiting advantages. Bama, Lsu, Uf, Texas schools, california schools, Ohio st. etc



conferences that allow shady recruiting have a bit of an edge as well. Over signing anyone?
