The thing is, those exams are designed to test your ability to read a fact pattern, filter out the bullshite and talk about the relevant issues. If you give someone 2 extra hours to do that exam the entire purpose of the exam is defeated.
It gives you a serious advantage at LSU where 80% of the classes have final where the test is just an outline dump.

Right. You have professors like church who give you a point for every relevant thing you mention. Someone with 2 extra hours is surely going to be able to talk about more issues and thus get more points. Luckily, the people that get the extra time are generally no where near the top of the class, and the extra time is likely the only thing keeping their head above water.
