I think UH to Big 12 has a good chance. Would make the job even better.

You really think UT would allow another school from Texas to join the big 12?

uh, no. dude was not "toxic shite".
Craig James and his son railroaded him. They both lied (james' son ADMITTED he lied) to get his job at TTech.

his son was actually the one "toxic" to the team.

couple that fact with texas tech going cheap and still owes him like $800,000.

the worst mistake tech made was firing mike leach. ESPN did a smear job on him because james was an employee at the time. If you read leach's book it shows the facts and explains everything.

because he's an awesome coach. he needs better defensive players and a better DC at his next stop.

texas talent > washington talent

Factoid. No one has ever liked Mike. Dude could not upgrade from TT when they were 11-2. Throw in there a lawsuit against the cash cow of college football and the State of Texas, with his abnormal self, the dude was toxicological.

T-Tech deserves all the bad things that come their way for getting rid of mike. they will wallow in mediocrity for the rest of their days.

CJK4H

...or was it five?

Mike Leach was the best thing that had happened to Texas Tech football in a long time. Texas Tech showed their appreciation by not paying him $800,000 they that owed him and by firing him.

And Craig James is a lying POS.

And post-TT, Mike was toxic but Wazzu game him a break. Leaving this soon for Houston would be the equivalent of pushing in their fudge.

The money is there to be had, the talent is there to be had, and the right coach would make it happen. Leach could be the right guy.

craig james and ESPN railroaded leach. it was pretty disgusting what they did honestly.
adam james should have been kicked off the team before december. that is leach's biggest regret.
craig james is a jerk

he's a brilliant offensive mind and a great coach. he doesn't have much to work with in washington state, but still set the all time NCAA passing yardage in a game record with an unheralded QB

Washington State hired the right coach when they hired Leach. If Leach takes a better offer, I don't think anyone would blame him for doing so.

He would be dangerous if he ever got a job with one of the Florida schools. There's a lot of talent in Florida and he loved living in Key West. I have to admit that I'm kinda relieved that Florida didn't hire him.
