For you big boy programs - get rid of your patsies - Sam Houston St., ULM and New Mexico St - from all happening in the same year.
OOC games just got very important, imo.

Good. I miss when teams actually scheduled good ooc opponents.

Except they lost one at home to a team that needed a miracle against Virginia to become bowl eligible.

Message from the committee - On the bubble? Get your conference title opponent to lay down and then run up the score on them.

Funny that you use LSU's OOC schedule for your example because if LSU won the SEC with 0 or 1 loss they would've been in the playoff.

A&M used to play a good OOC schedule but a certain LA team got tired of their annual opening weekend loss and backed out.

They will change the criteria EVERY SINGLE year. This year it was about margin of victory while worst loss and best win meant nothing. Next year they will flip it the year after that they will flip again....
The real criteria is history>all
The real criteria is history>all

The message is, as expected, if you're not one of the big name schools, frick you. And that will always be the message when you leave it strictly up to a room of people defending their biases.

Because it's a weak ooc schedule, especially considering the whooping Wisky got last night. According to what just came out from the committee I don't believe LSU would have gotten in with one loss.

Frankly, I'm so tired of seeing games like LSU-NMST, I hope this drives ALL aspiring teams to schedule better.

TCU played Minnesota and beat the shite out of them.
That game should have counted at least as much as VT at home.

i have zero fricks about baylor schedule someone OCC. if baylor beats a...iowa and a duke instead of frickmysister tech they'd be in. and on top of that, they have no conference championship game. You want to be a "big boy" schedule like one

If your conference has only 3 teams in the top 20, you're going to be swimming upstream if you A)Play no championship game and B)Play the little sisters of the poor OOC.
Frankly, I think TCU would beat OSU, but, they got done in by one hell of a bad conference PLUS bad OOC. OSU played in probably an equally bad conference.

A lot of FCS teams will see big dollar signs going out the window in about two years or so. Rightfully so.

I still don't know what you think the message is. Do you think the message is that they're gonna ignore out of conference losses to 6-6 ACC teams? The committee punished FSU for playing in a shite conference but they reward OSU for losing at home to the 8th best team from that conference?
FAIL.
FAIL.

I think the message is one "good" loss to an ooc team might be worth more cred than 3 wins to shitty ooc teams.
Seems apparent to me anyway.

Baylor could of had the greatest OCC schedule in the history of the universe.
Ohio State's history>>>>>>>>>>Baylor's history and thats all that ever mattered.
