Their recruiting overall has taken a nose dive under Viator. They don't even do that well with SWLA players like they used to.

Seems like in the early 2000's, McNeese was always a viable option for those who didn't get looks at the LSU's and Texas's.
Now its an almost "Last Resort" school. Many would rather just go CC and try and get D1 offers that way.

I'm sure SLU and Lamar coming back to football have had to effect their recruiting efforts.
Does McNeese still pull in alot of FBS transfers? That seems to be where SLU is getting some difference makers

Recruiting in Louisiana/East Texas-into Houston for players who don't get looked at by LSU, Texas, or the Aggies seems to be a zero-sum game. If one school rises, another necessarily falls.
It seems like McNeese has suffered since UL and SELA have risen the last few seasons.
