Haven't been to this place in years. There are very few decent stores left. One of the "stores" is now a spacewalk. The Dillard's is entirely a clearance store. Nothing but circle racks of clothes. This mall is worse than the Plaza in NOE (1995-2005).

I thought the Dillard's closed down entirely? Last time I passed by during business hours about 4 months ago it was shuttered.

I haven't been in years. A few months ago, my friend's fiance told me that she heard gunshots when she was leaving. Scary shite.

Sounds like Northwest, Greenspoint and soon to be Willowbrook in Houston.

Malls are dead, sir. The internet has vanquished areas with multiple malls leaving one survivor, unless you're in Slidell where the internet has yet to be discovered. Northshore Square still rockin.

Pics later when I get home. This is some sad shite. Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of the "Obamacare Open Enrollment Center" next to the food court.

One of my wife's friends used to work in Dillard's before it became a clearance store.
She said it was horrible.

Someone shite themselves in the store and put their soiled pants folded on a shelf. Some poor lady straightening up the clothes stumbled upon them.

Lakeside is no where near dead and dominates this market.

The Esplanade is in Kenner. It is just a reflection of Kenner in general.

I took a pic of the Obamacare enrollment store last week.

I used to go all the time because there were so few people there and I can get Christmas shopping in.

Now it's pathetic.

The Food Court and the giant Cafe Du Monde with like 20 open tables are the really sad sights.

Kenner has more Hispanics than blacks. Esplanade was built right next to where all the poor blacks in Kenner live. It was doomed from the start.

When I was growing up in the 90's the Esplanade put Lakeside to shame. Now it is Vice Versa. I think there may be 10 stores(if that) in the entire building.

Look at the demographics in Kenner now, though. Mexicans, poor african americans/caucasians are the majority. Take a stroll down Williams Blvd. and all you see are hispanic joints, loan shark establishments, and used car lots.

From the shitting in the pants, to the care of folding them and placing them on the shelf, to then someone finding the price....I can't stop laughing at this.

Lakeside mall happened and all the other shite got developed leading to it. Why would people from wealthy areas pass boatloads of stores to drive to Kenner and shop?

Bass Pro almost put a store at Esplanade 10 years ago. However the mall owner went bankrupt.
