Richt over miles? Richt hasn't even played in the national championship while in the same time frame Les has played in 2 and won 1. Les also has a perfect regular season resume one year.

1. Les
2. Saban
3+ Who cares?
Why Les #1? Both coached here and Les has done better.
#2 reason why Les > Saban? Because for as 'great' as Saban is suppose to be, Les' teams either beat him or take him to the wire almost every time ( OT, last few minutes of the game, etc ). When you have refs in your pocket and paid players and STILL have your hands full, the other coach is better than you are. Fact.

Whether Saban is the greatest coach of all time depends what you include in coaching. If you include all aspects of their job including recruiting, Saban might very well be the best of all time. If your idea of coaching is just on the field and involves getting the most out of the least, I wouldn't consider Saban the greatest coach of all time

What the Hell has Spurrier done in 10 years that merits mention in the top 10? He's coasting at this point. Rich Rodriguez and Malzahn need to be higher, Miles needs to be lower.

Miles should be nowhere near the top of any best coaches list. I have him at #6 in the SEC West.

I didn't base my list strictly on win-loss. I factored in all aspects of coaching (my opinion at least). I've always really liked Richt and I think he's s great coach.

Spurrier has no business being that high anymore. Frank Beamer is clinging to top-20 I guess, but VT has not been good for awhile now. Patterson should be top-7. David Shaw should not be in the top-20.

Not even close to Top 10. Everyone all the way back to 19 is a better coach than Miles.
Based on what?

I think both of these are way too high. Theit teams end up being nothing but hype.
they have combined for nearly 400 wins & 14 conference titles

Mike Gundy just make a huge move up and Stoops fell from Grace. What was it Dietzel use to say....Long trip to the penthouse and a quick fall to the outhouse. LOL! Something like that.

good idea but the number should be about 7 lower.
Go look at what Saban did at MSU he was a 7 win guy.
Check what Kstate has been every single season that snyder was not their coach in the last 40 years. He is without question the best coach in college football.

I would take Dan Mullen over all of these.
