I want to run a quick poll
Up Vote - If there should have been an indictment
Down Vote - If there should not have been an indictment

What do we do if we don't care?

If you care enough to jump in this thread then give an opinion.
Otherwise, treat it like most the threads you don't care about and avoid

Yes IMHO there should have been an indictment. whether he was found guilty or not it would lay out all the facts and laws involved and help end some of the ridicules speculation going on. Having a trial also sends a signal that cops are not above the law.

But you don't indict someone simply dor the sake of having a trial. Why would they even have a grand jury if you just want to parade the person for the sake of a trial of a jury of one's peers do not think there is enough evidence?
And I'm no cop apologist.

You should comply with what cops say, right or wrong. It'll get straightened out if they're wrong.
With that being said, I don't think cops should just be choking motherfrickers out left and right and that be an okay thing.

As has been said before a competent DA can get an indictment against a ham sandwich, I do not think much effort was put into this before the Grand Jury. THAT is a problem. DA's and police depts. can get a little too cozy with each other sometimes for the public good. Not sure that is what happened here but it certainly looks like it from the outside. Again JMHO

Bad law and that is the issue. No high taxes no black market cigarette sales.
Stupid people for staying, They need to move out of New York!

Indictment, but no evidence of racial motivation.

What do you think a grand jury does?

Doubtful. Cops get away with a great deal of shite. But the biggest reason is because you're not going to win the fight and have a high likelihood of getting injured at the least.

FYI, I found out last night that the US is the only country that still has grand jury's .
I thought it was interesting every other country has abandoned GJ's.

No indictment.
When the cops tell you to do something you do it. If you think they are wrong you can file a grievance later.

so a cop says give me all the cash in your wallet. Do you give him the cash in your wallet?

Yes. And then I file a grievance. It's very simple. That's why cops don't do that. They would get fired.

Because I do not know what was presented to the GJ, and what charge was sought, I cannot say.
If you are asking based solely on the video, and if the charge sought was a murder charge that required intent, then I will be voting no.

The requirement for you to obey a cop is that the system will treat your grievance fairly. The above link points to me that in fact they DGAF and will steal from you without recourse.

the cops searched the car and found $17,550 in cash, which they kept,
Wow, that's outrageous. I always keep that much cash in my car. So, what did the cops do with it? Did they buy a house?
