What are the nonnegotiables for securing a job on a Christmas tree lot?
Neck tat? Compulsive itching? Jinco jeans?

The gents that delivered mine were tat-free and polite. Trimmed it, put it in the stand, and left.
Family business, not the tree carnival folks though.

Damn, I got all giddy thinking we were going to discuss disguising your Jeep as a Christmas tree.

I got mine from the Lowe's on Elysian Fields last year and I'm convinced the woman who helped me was high on something, waaaay too entergetic and kept opening and displaying trees presumably for my benefit but I think she just wanted to use her knife.

A lot of them live on site, carney style. Reminds me of the Renaissance fair roadies.

I saw a guy in a truck with Oregon plates pulling a small utility trailer labeled something along the lines of Oregon Fir Christmas Trees. Surely the guy didn't drive down here with a single trailer full of trees expecting to make a profit

They were definitely casing your house, you're about to get robbed.

Dang!
I most probably shouldn't have given them the alarm code?
The free watering service seemed like a good deal...

I sold Christmas trees for two seasons for a family friend who ran a lumber yard. It was fricking awful. Full of sap, picked by pine needles, we had to cut the bottoms for them, had to load them into peoples roofs and tie them down. I did get a $3 tip one time.
