Benelli M1 12ga Auto Dipped - Is this a good used price?

buddy wants an SBE2 and is selling his Benelli M1 (about 10 years old) that's been dipped within the last 2 years. Asking $750. I can't find much info on this gun on the secondary market for comparison. This dude is pretty anal about keeping his guns in tip top shape so I feel good about the quality.
thanks
thanks

$750 is fair if it's in good shape. I saw one for $900 recently, but it's blueing was still great and it had beautiful walnut furniture. It was probably in 98% condition.
Eta: It's a great gun btw.

Not a bad deal, not a steal but not bad. Hell, the dipping cost 150-200 alone.

Sounds like a rust problem.
BTW, never buy a classic car that's been "just primed and ready for paint"

Not a bad price and not a great one either.
If he agrees, take it to a reputable gunsmith for a once over and if the gunsmith says its good then see if you can negotiate the price down a bit.
Those guns are well built and if he's good about maintaining them you may have a solid deal.

Save the cash and get a Remington 870. They are better than any Benelli anyway.

There is a reason he is selling it.
Break the gun down and go over it or take it to a gunsmith.
I would have serious concerns since the gun has been dipped.

Well, what’s a good reasonably priced semiautomatic shotgun? Franchi?
