Make no mistake about it, I love me some Boom. I have always loved his intensity and passion for the game and his players especially when he was at LSU, but I would really love to see him NOT at an SEC west school.
Reports are that Auburn has made an offer and so has TAMU. I hope and pray he does not end up at either school because IMO if he lands up at either school that will soon be the school to beat in the West.

I wish Boom the best, just not in the SEC West!!!!!!

He isn't coming to Alabama. Alabama is the school to beat in the west and will remain that way.

Him going to Auburn or Texas A and M doesn't really effect us.
HUNH/spread offenses usually can't field a great defense because of their offense, not because of their lack of defensive coaching.
He could definitely do a little better at Auburn than TAM but still wouldnt be a top 25 defense

You might want to tell TCU about your little theory then!!!

Spurrier is a close friend of his, he wouldn't have to move as far, and he would learn from a great program leader. Would give him the tutelage he needs on his resume to be hired as a HC again in the future by a major program.
Columbia, SC > Auburn, AL, >>>>>>>>>>>>>> College Station, TX
Spurrier >> Malzahn >>>>>>>>> Sumlin
If USC offers something competitive to Auburn and TAMU, I see him going there.

Something tells me Saban doesn't want him landing at Auburn either. Personally if Boom were to take either the Auburn or TAMU offer, my hope would be Auburn. Anything that will give those Bama turds something to worry about is just fine by me!!!!

Their defense is damn average this year.

What are we considering great defenses? They are 5th in total offense, but 45th in total defense.

Muschamp at Fla really worked too

They're like 95th in the country in Defense (against the pass).

not to mention Spurrier probably won't be coaching in 3 years

Fine, top 30 defense + top 10 offense and just win baby

It would makes sense if he were to be the coach-in-waiting at USC, obviously Spurrier isn't going to coach forever. Or is he?
But he won't win a NC at USC nor is recruiting to USC easy. The recruiting bases at Auburn and TAMU will be a lot easier for Boom. I would much prefer him going to USC than AU or TAMU but I don't feel that will be his destination.

TCU is 3rd in points scored per game and 26th in points scored against. That equates to ranked 3rd in the country. That is pretty good by me, wish we were near that ranking.

Boom is trash without Saban. All Saban DCs under perform when they actually have to run a defense.

You are an idiot, Boom's defense were always at the top of the league where he was. LSU, Auburn, UT and UF. Not only that but he can recruit also.
The only thing I wish is that Boom was at UF just one more year because he said if he were still coaching at UF that Gerald Willis would have been kicked off the team if he was still the coach for his sideline incident at FSU.

Why do people think this is a Auburn/aTm battle?
Its Auburn/USC. aTm so far behind they can't even see our dust
