LSU could beat bama if they gave the state 1 dollar instead of millions

I am all for LSU not taking any state subsidy, but why does LSU give the state millions of dollars. Why not invest all money in the program.

*of course LSU refers to the football program since this is the tiger rant, and not the academic part.

also, i do not think i can disagree more

LSU is a University with a football program, not a football program with a University

Because LSU a higher education institution in the state that treats higher education the worst.
Were it not for the influx of cash the LSU football program pumps into public coffers every year, both major public university systems in Lousiana would be in much worse financial shape.

I'm all for having football supporting all other athletics and being self sustaining. But LSU gives the university back 7.5M each year.

LSU cant keep up with the likes of Bama. They dwarf us on the recruiting budget and facilities. Not to mention they can offer recruits parents jobs and we can barely pay a coach to drive up to Monroe to see a player.
