The parents of Michael Brown, a black Missouri teen killed by a white policeman, and the parents of Trayvon Martin, another teen killed in 2012 by a neighborhood watch volunteer, came together Friday night for a vigil.
According to local news reports, Martin's father Tracy told Michael Brown Sr., "God has his hands on the situation, and he's going to be OK," according to the Associated Press.
The younger Brown, 18, was killed in Ferguson, Mo., in August, but a grand jury announced on Monday that the police officer, Darren Wilson, 28, would not face charges.
The announcement sparked protests in Ferguson and across the country, prompting lawmakers and officials to urge calm, deploy state highway patrol and National Guard troops.
The vigil for both Brown and Martin took place Friday night in Miami Gardens, as part of the annual Gospel Explosion Concert, hosted by rapper Flo Rida.
It was not the first time the parents came together. The first time was at Brown's funeral, according to a local CBS Miami station.
“There’s really nothing you can say. Time is going to heal the wound. But I think what we can just do it just encourage them and tell them that they’ll be able to make it because it is very difficult,” said Sybrina Fulton, Martin’s mother.
Martin was killed by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer. He was tried but found not guilty.
“It’s sad that it has to come to this, but it’s definitely opening America’s eyes because this is not just an African American problem. This is America’s problem,” said Fulton.

Now that is rich. Flo Rida, who penned such lyrics as:
quote:
A nickle or a dime, a half or a pound
Long as my bitch ridin', I'll put a ni*** down
Im a playa from the jump, a hustler from the start
Something in your chest, then open up your heart
quote:
I Got Guns For The Snitches
Roses For The Bitches
Hop Up Off The Whip
Paparazzi Taking Pictures
quote:
Drunk up all my conjour
Ain't even leave me with a glass
So cough up my whole bottle
Or I'm a take out your arse
Cause you don't wanna see me angry
You don't like me when I'm angry
quote:
Don't test me cause I keep a clipper number 2 pistols
And you will be erased
Outta sight and outta mind
So get the frick on or my girls will wipe the floor with your behind
Fitting though. I bet he was a great influence on Tray and Big Mike.

Well, they got this right. And it's exactly why good folk in America have gunned up over the last few years. Just like in Ferguson...the Law might choose not to show up and do what we pay them for. Or even Katrina for that matter. Heathens aren't picky as to a reason to loot; but at least they are predictable.
I pray to God a REAL Black leader shows up; but I fear they'd only be rejected for the demagogues.

Surprised it just them. George Zimmerman's crime victims alone are enough to form a club.

We have the cast for the next Dumb & Dumber movie, the black version.
