How did you think LSU would finish in the preseason?

I thought we would go 9-3. So really we performed just under my expectations. Judging by this board a lot of folks must have thought we were going to win 11-12 games and compete for the league.

I said 10-2 if everything went well
7-5 if things went south

They did okay. I'm more upset with 41-7 and 17-0. Plus we should have beaten bama. Oh well

This is a good, honest response.

People act like we didn't expect 3-4 losses this year, act like we should have been competing for the conference and national titles. Reasonable people never had that expectation this year.

I was way too optimistic. 10-2 was my guess. Thought Bama and Auburn would get the sweep. Just want to say that I have a hard time understanding anyone that picked Miss. St. to beat us this year. I know we got pretty much beat down no doubt, but come on! !4 straight years and 20 out of 21 or whatever it was. Kinda got to pick us every game until it actually happened. I honestly let myself get so caught up in that streak that i basically wrote that game off without a second thought. 14 straight wins can do that i guess. Sorry for going off topic.

2 or 3 losses. We fell short this year. No other way to describe it.

I would've been happy with the season if Bama hadn't won

I said 9-3. I predicted losses to Auburn on the road and Ole Miss at home, with us losing one more somewhere we weren't supposed to. I guess Arkansas could fall into that category.

The season was disappointing because naturally, we had plenty what-ifs. Like most fans, I tend to focus on the what-ifs that have us winning and tend to forget the what-ifs where we could have lost.

My biggest concern is SEC officiating to the point where you wonder if everything is on the level.

The SEC seems to want to make us and every other team the Washington Generals to Alabama's Harlem Globetrotters.

It is astounding the calls they get--and no-calls that go in their favor.

Oh well, didn't mean to rant on that, but yes, 9-3 was my prediction.

This. I expected anywhere from 8-5 to 10-3. It's the way they were dominated in 3 losses that bothers me the most.

Last year's bama loss, and this year's MSU, AU and Arkansas losses are a troubling trend where LSU is getting dominated physically. I know we will lose games here and there but getting our will crushed is something that just doesn't happen to elite schools.

Look, it is not the record that bothers people so much.

Most reasonable people thought 8-4 in a rebuilding year was possible.

What is a problem, however, is the continued lack of QB development and the continued terrible play at QB we have seen under Miles and the fact that based on what we saw this year and in the past, we can expect the exact same thing next year.

And if we get the same QB play next year, 8-4 again.

Those of us who predicted 3-4 losses got blasted before the season started for being "negative."

I thought we'd go 4-0 OOC, 2-0 versus the East, and split against the West. 9-3 overall with a bowl win (10-3)

This was based on Harris taking over at QB thus preventing opponents from stacking the line and making us one-dimensional like Jennings did.

10-3 overall with a bowl win. Figured the losses to be Florida, Auburn and 'Bama. So overall, not far from where most figured them to be, especially if they win their bowl game.

9-3

Only issue was before yesterday with predictable play calling
