You have fallen victim into buying into Les Miles' bullshite. He lies his arse off in those pressers.
Haven't watched a presser since 2010

So college athletes aren't super competitive ppl?
Of course they are, but if you think that rebuilding a team and legitimately playing for a national title are anywhere in the same realm in the mind of an 18 year old then I don't know what to tell you.

That is a 2 way street. If he stinks it up it could "break him"
I understand what you're saying. But, if the Auburn performance didn't break him, I don't think another bad outing would do so. He appears to be a very confident, competitive guy, and that type of QB will always think his next pass, his next game, will be successful. It takes a lot to break a QB like that.

Then how did Jimbo turn FSU around or Saban turn around both Bama and LSU, Malzhan turn Auburn around? Coaches can play to that competitiveness in athletes.

We didn't have the depth to redshirt Harris this year. If Jennings ahd gone down we would be playing Kragthope with only Jared Foster (who?) behind him.
So play Kragthorpe.
You pull a redshirt on a kid like Harris when you think it'll help win games. Once it's done, the staff has to do its best to get him meaningful snaps. Not playing him against Arkansas was inexcusable.
I have no idea what's going on behind the scenes or what Miles is thinking but he's betting his job on a QB who literally gets worse by the game. All the while, he's not doing enough to groom the next guy in line. And if Harris doesn't play yet again this week, I maintain that they blew good chances to develop a QB and totally wasted his redshirt.

So you are saying that being a shitty team is good for recruiting?
Posted on 11/25/14 at 6:05 pm to BillF
This season is over, so its time to move on. Miles wants to play for 8 wins, when he needs to cut bait, and start giving Harris real experience. Does anyone think Jennings has Harris's talent? If you do, fine.....Stay the course..

No, but it also doesn't stop a kid from going there. If it did then schools would never turn around and when a wr recruit asks him about why he should choose LSU he can just put this on.

Because Harris is better ... And has the greatest potential ...

true, but if he isn't ready or doesn't know the offense then he can easily become a JJ

Did you ever stop and think that BH is still struggling with the offense (hopefully improving but still behind AJ) like Miles says?
If BH is struggling with this offense that Jennings is obviously struggling with, how about we adjust the offense. Reality is Harris was running a more complicated offense in high school. The offense LSU runs is not complicated at the QB spot. He has maybe 20 passes a game and half of those only have 2 WRs.

as if Jennings isn't already a JJ.
just look at the the games that Jennings and Harris have both taken meaningful snaps in... Harris has played better in those games. Hell, even throw in the spring game.

WINNING CURES ALL !
and we ain't winning.
We scored "0" against Ark ..there are no NEGATIVE numbers in football...what's the downside of providing some experience if nothing else ?

Yes, Jennings was horrible vs Arky, but he put LSU in the position to beat Bama (if we don't freaking kick it out of bounds). The offense was doing well and the team was improving prior to Arky.
Geez....I can't even

AJ is a JJ and this season doesn't matter other than developing players. As history has shown (not just at LSU, but all over CFB and the NFL) if you throw a QB that isn't ready they become a bust more times than not.

Harris took meaningful snaps against a MSU backup D that had not prepared for him and a NMSU (yes he looked better than Jennings in that game), but it was painfully obvious that he was not ready vs Auburn and if the coaches think that he still is not ready why risk breaking him?
Also I give up trying to point that maybe the coaches know what they are doing. I forgot that only SB winning coaches post on TD. Good bye

yeah I'll give you that, it was an MSU backup D in what looked like garbage time.
and Harris wasn't ready vs. Auburn, I'll give you that as well. But neither was Jennings.
it's just tough watching Jennings when the most hope we've seen at QB has come from #6

True watching Jennings is like getting punched in the stomach and Harris does has the most potential, but history has shown that potential doesn't amount to shite if the qb is not ready.
The good thing is that A&M's defense is so bad that even Jennings should look average against them.
This time I am really gone, back to studying .
