People just want to grasp on straws that we had a chance in that game, Neither of this QBs could have won that game.

Anyone who thinks otherwise is oblivious.

Perhaps not, but the fact that Miles just gave up and didn't adjust a gameplan that was obviously not working remains a sad indictment of him as a coach.

It does beg the question that no one can answer.
Why was he so quick to give up on JL (BH) when everyone could see that JJ (AJ) was not helping the team at all?

I think it was just a decent QB away from one of the best of all time.

2/3 of it was.

Hebert, Lonergan, and Blackwell in the middle of that Oline, wasn't good enough against an elite defense like Alabama. Couldn't run, couldn't protect JL. If we could have kept the pocket clean I say JL all the way, but that wasn't the case.

One of the biggest improvements that Cam brought to the team was QB footwork. I think that was something that non of out QBs had ever been taught since Jimbo left.

They were good enough that night in Tuscoloosa

He's talking about protecting Lee in the pocket. He's right about that. The '07 offense and the '11 defense and ST would definitely have created a top ten all-time team with a legitimate argument as the best of all time. Timing is absolutely everything.

Absolutely. The charm and candor of Les became one of stubborn and unwilling to do what was necessary.

It affects our program to this day since that night.

my turning point on Miles was at the end of 2011 when he sat Lee for the shitshow that was JJ. Relying on Mathieu to return punts for TD's against Arky and UGA to jump start the team to end the season when Lee had the offense balanced and rolling.

Miles was so enamored with the fact that JJ helped seal a W against Bama that he thought he could do no wrong despite the way Lee led arguably the best team LSU had ever had. At that point I realized Miles enjoyed watching JJ play a sloppy game instead of a balanced game plan with a truly capable qb.

JL was historically TERRIBLE against Bama, not just in LSU's first game against them in 2011, but every game he had ever played.
JJ was coming off of beating Bama 2 years in a row.

uh, Bama had just gone 70 yards in 2 min. It was 3rd and 13, with 3 min left in the game, when Miles said, "JJ come stand over here by me, cuz there is no way in hell youre picking up that 3rd and 13."

JL then threw a 46 yard completion, and sealed the deal.

So stop with your BS about Lee not possibly doing something against Bama that JJ couldnt do. We all seent it wit our own eyes

les is just Stubborn as they come. And he gives SOME players all the chances in the world.... others, Not so much.

The man has lost his drive and likes to be cute for the cameras too much !! I believe its time for a change of scenery for the coach.

bullshite... I believe something happened and divided the team and this is the second time I hear that LM told JL he was not playing him... If he did that he should be fired immediately if that can be proven as he sunk to the lowest of levels for his players, LSU, and us fans.

The same thing basically happened at Arkansas... He should be held accountable

Miles didn't even have to win against Bama, all he had to do was keep it competitive and he would have snagged the AP title no doubt. But by getting drubbed and made to look like a high school coach ruined any and everything.

You realize Harris was injured on his run and had to go the locker room

Should have done something different vs Arky. Ptsd

We had three QBs on roster.
Fail#1

We only know how ONE played. Unless you can see alternate timelines, you dont know.
Fail#2

Oblivious would mean that unaware of basic facts, which as demonstrated by my two earlier points, seems to be you.
