No one is saying he is great. It's just a complete misconception to say he's a failure because he's been fired from A position. He's had many coaching gigs, and he had to do something positive to get there in the first place.

Also, why in the hell is Archie Manning the only authority on this matter? Did you listen to anyone else? Archie knows football, but he's not some all-knowing guy. He could be wrong just as much as anyone else.

Maybe consider the fact that Cam isn't just given free reign of the offensive system. These college kids don't have the time the NFL guys do to practice and learn playbook, and LSU's offensive line, and running backs have grown up in a system of Les Miles style. I don't think Cam is going to just shove Les out of the way and do what he wants. Les got him this gig, and a well-paid gig it is, and Les being his friend I don't think Cam is going to stick his nose anywhere Les might feel betrayed.
