A 12-year-old boy in Cleveland with a fake gun didn't put his hands in the air when police told him to.
He reached for his fake gun and cops shot him.

Just listened to the 911 call, the caller said, "this GUY has a gun, this GUY is scaring the shite out of me." He never once called him a little boy,

Have they stated the race of the cops in question? I didnt see anything in the article.
I didn't see anything either. It hadn't even occurred to me to ask. I gotta get my racist on!

He didn't use the word "little boy" but did call him a juvenile.
The USA today article goes on to say that the officers were not told by the 911 operator that the caller thought the gun was fake, so there is that.
quote:
"There is a guy with a pistol, it's probably fake, but he's pointing it at everyone," the caller says. The caller later repeats that the gun is probably fake, and adds that "he's probably a juvenile."

You're an idiot and embarrassingly naive

Are you really dumb enough to not understand a 12 year old is capable of shooting someone? It's sad but this is the world we live in

Convincing story? A police department went to the Supreme Court to defend their right to not hire applicants that scored too high on the Wonderlic portion of the entrance exam because, "They would find police work too dull and move on to another field."
One police department used a high cutoff on the Wonderlic to narrow the applicant pool. The Supreme Court decided that for a department to limit the applicant pool to a reasonable number based on the low/high cutoff was acceptable despite it being "unwise." To suggest that police departments across the United States "disqualify applicants for being too smart" is an extrapolation at best. My statement of "a convincing story" was a very poor choice of words. Perhaps your statement suggesting it was the norm was, too, and I am misunderstanding you.

If the cop in the Gulfport thread LINK would have played it a little safer maybe he wouldn't have ended up in the hospital.
Please explain how a car full of adults shooting an officer relates to the story at hand? I meam the stories are just so strangely alike.

Actually it's factual. The responses in this thread are disturbing and lacking of intelligence.

As a police officer I don't trust in some guy on a phone telling me the gun is fake. This is a terrible situation where a young kid is dead, but looking at the weapon it is reasonable to believe that it is real and the officer did what he had to do protect himself.

Are you that dense that you don't understand that stating "good" about a tragedy caused by a stupid decision made by a 12 year old is gross? Obviously the cop did the right thing, I never suggested otherwise. In your fricked up mind, children dieing for doing stupid things is good.

Incorrect, the 911 caller said "she wasn't sure if the gun was real or fake"

Did they murder another little black boy?

Should we link you (again) to the numerous stories of 12 year olds shooting and killing people?
Numerous?
So what...maybe .04% of all gun violence? Or do you think it's less than that?

The cop in Gulfport was doing his job putting a dangerous criminal in jail. If he had played it safer, then this animal would still be on the streets committing crimes.

Don't fault the cop one bit here. Cop did exactly what he was trained to do and should have done.
This should add some spice to the halfwits in Fergeuson this week though. Should make for some damn good reality tv when they go apeshit and start fricking up their own town this week.
