Why do most conservatives embrace a lack of evidence re: climate change but not religion?

You cannot judge religion/faith on evidence, because it is not a worldview that claims to be based on human reason.
It would be like evaluating a fish on its ability to fly.

1. 18 year pause
2. Most computer predictions are off by alot
3. I am against the solutions presented by liberals not the idea of limiting carbon emmissions.
4. I think we should continue researching into how our climate works (although I think we should spend responsibly on it), but there are researchers that are just wasting money (I know a guy that was my physics tutor at LSU (he is not at LSU he is at some big climate research place, I don't want to post the name) that openly brags about how much money his climate research wastes(it is not TUBA)).

I guess this made sense in your brain.

PEOPLE WHO EMBRACE A RELIGION AT LEAST HAVE THE FRAMEWORK OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS OF HUMAN CIVILIZATION TO SUPPORT THEM. (sorry about caps).
The better question might be why Liberals who have been so skeptical of religion/God etc, have embraced the most Orthodox Faith of modern times in "Global Warming" which brands everybody as either a pious believer or a heretic worthy of scorn.

Agreed

I don't embrace either.
I have come to the conclusion of a few things:
1. Never underestimate the evil of men that can get rich by controlling the narrative and causing panic where none is needed.
2. Either God doesn't exist as an intelligent being or he doesn't want us to know who he is.

What about the liberals that believe in God?
Posted on 11/22/14 at 12:43 pm to LSUlunatic
Isn't there also an actual PHYSIOLOGICAL impulse for faith/worship/prayer/belief in God? Part of the brain lights up like an electric grid in some people and is dormant with others, right? Conversely, aren't some people just skeptical by nature?

Because religion doesn't try to pass itself off as evidence based with scientific evidence (mostly, frick off ken ham)
Climate change tries to be something it's not.

How is liberals' faith in climate change different from conservatives' faith in God?
You ever heard a liberal say "thank you climate change, my son finally got a hit"?
I don't think you can really compare the two faiths - but I could be wrong.
