"Now, I know some people want me to bypass Congress and change the laws on my own. Believe me, the idea of doing things on my own is very tempting. I promise you. Not just on immigration reform. But that's not how our system works. That's not how our democracy functions. That's not how our Constitution is written."-- B. Obama, July 25, 2011
"There are those in the immigrants’ rights community who have argued passionately that we should simply provide those who are (here) illegally with legal status, or at least ignore the laws on the books and put an end to deportation until we have better laws. ... I believe such an indiscriminate approach would be both unwise and unfair. It would suggest to those thinking about coming here illegally that there will be no repercussions for such a decision.
And this could lead to a surge in more illegal immigration. And it would also ignore the millions of people around the world who are waiting in line to come here legally. Ultimately, our nation, like all nations, has the right and obligation to control its borders and set laws for residency and citizenship. And no matter how decent they are, no matter their reasons, the 11 million who broke these laws should be held accountable." -- B. Obama, July 1, 2010

How many do you know that are illegal and have struggled for years to get legal while illegally working their asses off at jobs even white trash losers wouldn't take?
Because I know a few, and this is a step in the right direction.

None ... but I know a guy that that has been trying to become a U.S. citizen the legal way and your president just moved 5 million of your brothers ahead of him.

Or he saved them from being deported. All the ones I know were in support of Obama tonight, and SW MO has a ton of illegal Hispanics.

hell they'll probably go back home.
The IRS has more bite to it's bark than any other government entity.

I think they should tax the employer more money where it comes out the same as they were paying a american if they wish to have illegals on their payroll.

Just because they are illegal doesn't mean they weren't paying taxes. Some just use family members names and ss that are legal. And usually get paid more because they actually work harder.
There are Americans that take cash paying jobs and don't pay taxes.

The people getting paid cash will continue to get paid cash.
the employers do not want to pay employer taxes i.e. obamacare $2500 penalty per employee.
Obama lied to the entire country for 30 minutes continuously.

It's funny that you think they'll pay taxes.
If anything, we'll just give them tax refunds.

They'll just quit working and draw benefits like other groups do.

I'm optimistic about this whole thing. With 5,000,000 new people that should be paying tax, when in actuality, only about 100,000 will, maybe the IRS will be overwhelmed and quit nitpicking the hell out of good hard working citizens.

I'm guessing MAYBE 10k will pay the taxes.
They didn't want to pay taxes. They wanted "citizenship" without having to pay for it.

This exec ordered didn't change a thing. This population was not getting deported, they could apply and recieved work permits and SS # without a hassle.

An even better question:
Do you think that Mexicans ever say, "All those damn jobs are taking all of our good Mexicans"?

Interesting question. Soon they will only have drug cartels and crooked politicians.
