Are you really comparing what a RB has to do with what a QB has to do?
Yes, yes I am as far as experience being the key to reaching potential.
Are you saying you are happy with the qb production?
LF looked lost as well in his initial game experience.
Look, it's obvious we will have issues at qb until a new starter has time to grow into a leader. AJ is NOT that guy. If you disagree with that then our conversation is over.
But, if your argument is we shouldn't switch qb cause it might "ruin" Harris, then it may even be dumber than the previous scenario. If Harris plays he will improve, he has that tools. It has been proven statistically that AJ has NOT improved, AT ALL.
So why again not play Harris?

Magee and Hilliard both average more yards per touch than LF. Maybe the team would've been better off bringing him along slower.
He is getting less and less productive each game, maybe you disproved your own point trying to prove your point

I really thought Harris had the foundation and talents coming out of high school to be a great Quarterback . You would think with the best coaches in the nation and the best way to get better is by game experience . Not by walking the sideline when We are playing scrubs and up by 30 points . The same can be said for AJ last year .

Agree with everything in the OP. This was supposed to be a "rebuilding year" and I feel like we have accomplished nothing at the QB position. Harris should have seen much more playing time this year to get comfortable running the offense.

Our last three games have been against 3 of the best 25 run defenses in the entire country.

He's having one of the best freshman years in the history of LSU.....what's your point again?

dude. I'm not 100% disagreeing with you but to compare an RB to a QB is dumb. Maybe you could stretch it to MLB.
QB requires all kinds of extra work.
Also, not everyone is the same mentally. To say players being "ruined" has NO merit isn't true. Sorry. Players do have their swagger messed up by getting out there too soon. Look at the AU game. It was too soon.

Anyone who doesn't think Brandon Harris should've gotten in the Arkansas game and/or should get playing time in the A&M game is a dumb motherfricker

You make no sense. What did AJ do in the Auburn game?
You don't think it hurts their swagger not ever getting pt behind on of the worst statistically in school history and in the ncaa this year.
If talent isn't the issue and the issue is knowing the plays, I guarantee you that Krags is better knowledged in this offense than AJ!
So if that's your barometer, AJ still should not be starting. His stats are horrible, how can replacing him be "too soon".

As Miles said Yesterday in his Press Conf- What ever were doing wrong we are going to keep doing it BUT were going to do it better. Miles will never quit trying to put a round peg in a square hole .PERIOD

in most scenario's the RB's goal is already pre determined with little room to change anything except hit another hole possible....The Qb's whole world can change in a second if a player is covered...Thats when you see what kind of leader u may have....The amount of shite that goes through the mind of a QB has to be ridiculous

Tiga - that's the reason we need a QB

Fortunately or unfortunately, we don't run a gimmicky, easy offense
My god, did you really say that???
Our offense sure isn't gimmicky, but it's surely one of the frickin' easiest offenses to understand in the country. Pure vanilla. With about 10 plays.
This whole nonsense about Harris not knowing the playbook is a complete diversion. Harris has been here since spring. He knows the playbook.
Why is it that other true freshman QBs can "get ready" but ours can't? Kyle Allen, Treon Harris both leap to mind???

Yea this offense is the most un gimmicky offense I think i've ever seen.....that observation is a galactic fail my friend.

Kyle Allen,
I would consider AnM's offense as complex as any in the country.
LSU's offense is far far far from complex. Including the Meerkat look over to the sideline before the snap to get reads and adjustments.

The problem with playing a QB before he is ready is that the QB develops bad habits. The more the bad habits occur, the more difficult it is to break the QB of the bad habits.
Bailing out of a clean pocket is one example. Inexperienced QBs tend to bail when they "feel" pressure even when it's not there. It takes maturity and trust to stay in a pocket. It's one of the harder things to teach a QB. It's much easier to develop this skill at practice under controlled circumstances. It's a very hard habit to break.
Improvising rather than running the play called is another example of a bad habit that QBs can get into. No doubt that improvisation can be good when the play breaks down; however, some QBs tend to improvise too early or too much. It's easier to defend a QB who improvises too much, and improvisation can lead to all kinds of bad things: throwing into additional coverage, throwing into unexpected or unseen coverage, throwing across your body late on a play, foregoing check downs, improper throwing technique, etc.
FTR: I'm not saying that any QB will be ruined by playing too early. However, I’ll let the coaches who get to see Harris and Jennings everyday make that decision.

So AJ isnt ready either.....what about his bad habits?

"not ready"
Our QBs never seem to be fully ready or fully developed. Playbook always in Secret-Mode. Even during games they appear to just be on the sideline by themselves. Our QB coaching has been lacking under Miles. I don't think anyone can argue that.
