Now that is actually something I can use. I don't know what to do about Showtime, Cinemax, or Starz though.

I have noticed that my Xbox is really choppy/slow when navigating through certain apps and through the "dashboard."

I also hate how if I go back to a previous page, lets say after confirming a new app download, the page shows up and then has to reload again. Its is really clunky.

I'm officially jealous. Its in my top 2-3 shows and I wish I could go back and watch it for the first time again.

Both?

With UVerse you have limited rewind/forward abilities with UVerse OnDemand and they insert commercials every 10 minutes. One thing ComCast beats UVerse at it seems.

And congrats on not being poor Lew

Also, people around here seem to sometimes forget....it's HBO, ESPN, etc, who write their own code and develop the apps for these platforms. Not M$ or XBox Live.

I thought this was common knowledge.

Not sure if this was directed towards my comment. If it was, I'm well aware that ESPN writes their own apps...and they're not very good at it. I've been meaning to start a thread about this, and the gaming board (in an HBO Go thread) is probably not the right place.

I would like to think MS would expects and most certainly enforce a certain standard when it comes to the quality of the code.

Don't get me started on ESPN app building. That fricking ESPN Radio app is the shittiest app I've ever used on an iPhone.

fricker crashes at least 3 times a day for me

you could say that about all platforms (PS, Xbox, IOS) but shitty and buggy apps still squeak thru the QC process all the damn time for all platforms

Definitely agree.

It sucks because it seems like there are so many instances where apps/games/etc. are released on consoles with all these problems. At what point do we hold the console manufacturers responsible? I'm specifically talking about ESPN 3, Halo MCC on Xbone ,and Unity on both PS4 and Xbone.

We can both agree there.

It does seem like as if late, it's just the norm to push out games/apps early to get a paycheck and beat the competition...then patch later

- Halo:MCC (matchmaking)
- AC: Unity (frame rate)
- NBA2K15 MyPark
- GTA 5 Online (previous gen)
- COD:AW (lag)
- BF4 (party system, servers, campaign saves)

Is it they are adjusting to next gen more complicated coding or are they just rushing out their products to beat their genre or studio competitors to the punch to cash in? But I agree with you, maybe MS and PS need to start putting more into their testing before allowing the release of these games.

All about the money

You could really look at it as the customer is paying to be a beta tester for their products

the hard reset is holding down the power button on the xbox for 10-15 seconds. when it shuts off wait a minute then turn it back on. maybe that will help

Its not going to help the ESPN app though, that app is terribly written
