Some pork roast that was cooked in crock pot all day. Was gonna make bbq out of it but it tastes so damn good by itself, I' ll let everyone have the option of bbq sauce or not. Oh and a chip varity

No shame in that. I'm all about that life; I just unfortunately won't have friends if I don't save certain days in the week for each one.

I have to be up at 5 and at work at 6 everyday so I don't get that luxury
I can go out Wednesday and Saturday so I do, but now I'm just spending all my time with the lady
ty glass. I got some really good advice for round two, so I'm excited for it.

I understand. I'm not up that early, but I have a "curfew" when I hang with my friends and they know they can't bitch. I have to wake @ 6:30.

Thursday and Sunday are my only off days
glass, I definitely will stick around. that jambalaya was the first real "ambitious" thing I've tried. I usually stick to the basics like steak, fried/blackened stuff, etc. basically one thing at a time type dishes. I'm definitely trying to broaden what I can do in the kitchen. living at home and having 2 more people to cook for is a plus

There really are some great cooks on here and we love to bring others into the fold.
Nothing wrong with the basics, they are the backbone of what we all eat on a regular basis. Just some nuances that can be provided to make them better.

Everyone here had to start cooking and we've all lived and learned and continue to do so with various dishes. Part of the fun is getting it right the second time or making something to your own taste as you learn how to make adjustments.

for sure. not too many things feel better than tasting a dish you made that you feel you perfected.
