I'm just as angry as the majority, however has anyone forgotten about 2008? The ranters wanted Miles fired then.

We finished the regular season at 7-5 and won the Chicken Samwich Bowl over GT to be overall 8-5.

2009 9 - 4 Loss to Penn State
2010 10 - 3 Arse whipped A&M
2011 - well you know this story

What matters now is how we play against A&M and on to whatever bowl they play in.

Do I think Miles is as stubborn as a mule, absolutely. We did come within 1 win of a natty in 2011 with CLM as the coach. Somebody had the responsibility to recruit, coach and motivate these guys.

Do you think JJ was better than AJ at this stage of his career? I doubt it. Will Jennings get better, who can say? One thing's for sure, Harris needs some PT.

Does this loss to Arkansas sting? Yes it does, but we weren't going to a major bowl had we beaten the hogs.

We were flat against Arky. I know this for a fact, we will be ready for A&M. Our team and coaches have far too much pride to not be.

So we finish the regular season at 8-4 and win the bowl game to be 9-4 overall. Get better and get prepared for 2015.

Remember 2008?

You are assuming that our offense can actually score.

Please stop with these. It's not getting any better. May win more next year, but the same old 08, 09, and 3 or more loss seasons will continue. It's been 10 years. That's a good enough sample.

While I agree with your post, people around here will bludgeon you for it.

I think people are more concerned now for a number of reasons, primarily:

- 2008 was 6 years ago and Les is in his early 60s now. I think some are wondering just how much he has left in the tank. There are concerns whether he is coasting to retirement. Maybe he is tired. He has lost his sister and his mother. Maybe the game has passed him by. Maybe his focus is moving to other things in life.

- The rest of the SEC West has upped its game. A&M is in the West now. Mullen has State on a new level. Freeze has brought up Ole Miss. Malzahn is burning it up at Auburn. Saban has cemented Bama as the best. None of these factors were present back in 2008. Bama had yet to win a championship with Saban.

- There was a clear thing to change in 2008. Malveto was a mistake. Hire Chavis, problem fixed. This is more foggy. Who do we fire and replace?

- Finally, stagnation and fatigue have set in. Most of the fan base is just tired of the BS. We went through a Shepard/Lee/Jefferson fiasco. The thought of going through a Jennings/Harris fiasco now is just tiring and about as fun as eye surgery.

At least thats how I feel.

JJ as a sophomore was much much better than AJ this year.

Think about that, then just weep softly.

"Came within one game of the national title."

No. We went to the national title, and Les Miles got his arse handed too him in one of the worst games I have ever seen played by a team. You sunshine pumpers aren't even coming up with anything decent anymore.

The problem in '08 was defense, not necessarily offense. I get it Lee threw a lot of picks, but our D was awful. He made the necessary change, went out and got the Chief. What "necessary change" is he going to make on offense, he's not going to hand it over to an OC, he's proven that. The problems in 2008 were fixed with a single hire, that won't happen with the offensive problems, he simply will not keep his hands off the offensive strategy and play calling.
