Yeah, it's wide open

Absolutely. And look at that perfect throwing lane...

Fewest yards since 1975. Wow.

Honestly the more I look at it, running it in might have been the easiest TD. It's like 10 yards and the middle of the field is empty. Only 1 defender is even looking his way.

Meh, safety was waiting to pop him or take it 100 yds the other way

I would have loved to see the safety try.

Exactly. Miles probably chewed his arse after the play for being so far out of position.

Maybe but it's really only a 6-7 yard pass from scrimmage to Gordon.

well yea but AJ is worse than JJ so even something that simple is at best a 50/50 deal with him.

But Miles went with the guy he felt would give us the best chance to win the game ....

9/10 times that's a td for Harris imo. The only margin of error I left is for drops lol.

JJ would have run it in.

Wide open Gordon for TD, AJ can't see him over the middle.

I'm looking at it and it looks as though the blocking scheme worked and actually opened up the lane up the middle. If AJ did not see the opportunity, then the play was already predetermined. Dural was the target all along

Jennings makes hand motion behind back, UA LB sees it, points to run lane.

Arkansas again reads Jennings' signal, knows where run play is heading.

Ultimately, that's on the coach.

Example: Arky reads LSU hand signals and know where the runs are headed

That doesn't sound good

#1 issue. He doesn't see anything but the primary target. Most college QB's can't progress through all their reads, but they can at least pick up on 2-3.

Also, for a pass play, AJ is holding the ball too low which means it takes too much time to deliver the ball.

Entirely possible he saw the void in the middle and thought to run, then changed his mind and threw to a blanketed receiver. He could have missed Gordon due to only looking for defenders that could stop him short. Either way it's terrible. Run or pass to Gordon, it's at least a first down at the goal line.

That thread turned out to be more complicated and dramatic than the real thing, which is incredible.

Seriously, no BS, that was 100% factual and I will update you by saying that it is still a work in progress. We are separating and taking a break. Whatever happens, happens. We have a complicated history.
