The early years of SNL were the GOAT.

I think you are vastly overrating Living Color.

If I made you watch 24 hours of Color nonstop, you would probably gouge out your eyes.

I've done that and it was so funny...it also aired on Thursday nights on fox (when fox was more like the CW)and it still has the following it does today...I'm torn between early-mid 90s snl and in living color and the original snl cast,

I think In Living Color was better because they didn't care about pissing anyone off

The bulk of In Living Color was awful. It might have had one funny sketch per episode. SNL has been crap for years, but it used to deliver.

Early 90s SNL was awesome but the first two seasons of ILC were about equal

SNL from around 89-95 was some of the best sketch comedy ever made.

In Living Color was okay, but nothing in comparison.

SNL from like 1986 to about 2000 was funnier than ILC.

ILC is way funnier than the shite that's been on SNL in the 2000's.

it was always part of the Sunday night lineup.

And yes, In Living Colour was just a funny as SNL skits.

Simpsons and ILC started on Thursdays, along with x files IIRC

In Living Color has not aged well. Some of the SNL seasons haven't either, but I can still watch some of the 90's episodes (on at the same time as In Living Color) and laugh. I watched an In Living Color episode the other night and felt like I was watching some mildly funny B movie.

ETA: I think ILC was so popular at the time because it was seen as "edgy." Kids wanted to watch it because they knew they weren't supposed to.

May be wrong, but I do believe Fox's first sitcom, Married With Children was on Thursday nights also. Or was it Sunday nights? Hummm?
