You are. Living Color was on Sunday for 4 seasons and moved to Thursday for the last season.
Married with Children was a Sunday night staple. The final season was on Monday night.

The Billy Crystal, Dana Carvey, Martin Short, Phil Hartman, Joe Piscopo, Mike Meyers SNL years were pretty damn funny.

SNL has always been hit or miss, just sometimes the ratio has been better or worse. When it hits it is awesome. The misses can be terrible or just boring.
ILC is the say. There were some really funny skits, but also a lot of boring or unwatchable parts.
IMO the best of SNL is above the best of ILC, but they both have funny parts worth watching.

SNL at its best was superior to anything LC produced. There were, however, some lean years at SNL that sucked to high heaven.

I guess a lot of the older folks are going to favor SNL. The few times I watched SNL in the early 90s I didn't find it that funny. I didn't watch before that because I had a bedtime, so apparently I missed their peak.

I concur.
I think the first four seasons of SNL, the Eddie Murphy Buh-Weet saga, and the run of 92-98 SNL were awesome.
In Living Color ended up watered down towards the end with the exception of Carrey, DAG and Davidson. The first couple of seasons, ILC was on point, edgy and awesome. Would have LOVED to have seen Carrey on that early 90s SNL cast.

There are so many SNL skits I remember from the late 80's to early 90's.
There's maybe 2 skits I remember from In Living Color (the "hated it" gay movie reviewers and Jim Carey's stupid Fireman bit)
That says it all. Zero staying power. You only remember what you want to remember or consider important.

Oh man...
Homey da Clown, Di MIlo, the scandalous southern preachers, the blind guitarist Tubbs (And uh here it goes.... Ahhh Haaaaa)
Best one was The Jackson Bunch which had the Jacksons growing up with Michael in the center haha

Excellent cast and the only grouping that could compete with the original cast IMHO.

I just wonder who is in charge of the cast from about the last 5 years. Whoever it is needs to be ushered out the door.

yes
I really liked ILC back in the day but people greatly overrate how good it actually was
it was just as hit and miss as SNL

The early seasons of ILC were comparable to the early seasons of SNL because they were both pushing into unchartered territory.
SNL - changed the perception of sketch comedy and also political and social satire. When I watch the old SNL episodes, it doesn't feel historic to me (or overly amusing) but I wasn't old enough to "get it" when it was a phenomenon.
ILC- pushed social and racial satire by lampooning popular urban culture via recurring characters and sketches. It was a predominantly black cast, which was a big deal and it took some risks. I loved it when I was younger, but unlike early SNL, I was in the right age-range, so I "got it".
Still, looking back on those early seasons, they didn't age well. The controversial topics they covered are so commonplace now, that it seems lame by comparison and when you strip away that controversial layer, you're left with a quite amateurish sketch show.
The Wayans brothers are funny, Jim Carrey was lighting in a bottle, Tommy Davidson had some excellent physical comedy. I enjoyed it in doses.
I don't think you can compare sketch shows, because they always end up being a product of their time and thus don't age well. Each one (SNL, ILC, Upright Citizens Brigade, the State, the Edge, Kids in the Hall) all have moments of greatness.

Rarely was SNL funnier than ILC.

ILC was just as good or better than SNL for me. Not sure where the "only one good sketch per episode" hate for ILC is coming from.
I loved the show, and disliked very few of the sketches. That being said, it was in my wheelhouse and I was a teenager-ish (11-15 range) when it was on, so I thought it was hilarious.
Part of the charm of ILC was that it wasn't SNL....it was more "low budget," if that makes sense. But it was easily just as funny, and with an arguably more talented/solid cast.
Home the clown, Calhoun Tubbs, the Brothers brothers, Firemarshall Bill, Vera de Milo, Dirty Dozens, all the music video parodies, Anton Jackson, Arsenio Hall, Carl the tooth Williams, east Hollywood squares, funky finger productions, Wanda, homeboy shopping network, Oswald Bates, handi man, the Buttmans, men on _____, Head Detective, etc.
How could anyone not like ILC?
