Back pain since Wednesday which other than a hot soak, nothing has helped ... Advil, muscle relaxant, heating pad. MUCH worse when standing and its not like i can lay down all day. Hoping to get it checked out tomorrow if its not better but I don't get why it's worse when standing. Didn't do anything that I can recall to cause it.

Middle left side .. Am I going to die??

First. Yes. You are going to die. Second. The rest doesn't matter.

I've had back pain twice in my life, each time it was for 3 days, and I have no clue how people live with that shite. It is miserable!

Own the pain.

Man up.

Stop whining or we'll call you "Cooper" as in Winnie Cooper.

It is with you for life. Learn to deal with it. Usually you can look back 3 days after the initial pain hits and you will remember something you did to set it off. Invest in a whirlpool. Hydrocodone and warm jets of water are the best for my back. Also, move around as much as you can. It actually helps the back stay loose. Just don't do any heavy lifting or pulling or sudden movements. Good luck man. You will need it.

Sounds like SI joint dysfunction. Go see a chiropractor.

Chiropractor will fix you up. My first trip to a chiropractor was amazingly effective. I sidled in like a crab and walk out... After 3 weeks of twice a week, all was back to normal grab assing around with no issues.

I dread getting old. At my age, I know that whatever pain I get from sleeping wrong or whatever will go away in a few days at most. I'm told that once you're in your 40s, pain randomly shows up one day and more or less becomes life from that point on.

Hang from a bar, like you're about to do a chin-up, but just let gravity stretch your spine and strengthen your core.

Chiropractors just want you to come in every week to help them make their alimony and tuition payments. Think Allen Harper.

Sounds like a herniated disc. Standing compresses the vertebrae and puts pressure on the nerve root. Lying down relieves the pressure.

I'd try a chiro for 4-6 weeks. 2-3 x/week before getting more invasive.

You don't want to be retired and have the spirit willing but the flesh weak.

Your health is your main wealth. Good luck

Get down on the floor and relax.Pull your knees up like a "cannon ball" position.Or one at a time.Gently rock back and forth.

I've got 4 bulging discs and getting down on the floor and doing some easy back stretches like that always makes my back feel better.

It's kind of like "ironing" your back out.
