There is a certain light where traffic is pretty backed up on my commute home. The light has a right turn only lane that usually has little to no traffic, yet the straight bound lanes are always backed up to where you have to wait through 2-3 lights to get through it. I hate the mf'ers who act like they are turning right then when the light turns green, they whip over into one of the straight bound lanes cutting people off. Even worse is when I actually need to turn right at this light and get in the right turn only lane, but I can't turn right on red because one of the mf'ers referenced above is blocking the right hand only turn lane because they are waiting on the light to turn green so they can cut in front of everyone going straight

What do you hate worse, last minute blinker guy or guy that doesn't give a hand wave when you let them in front of you?

It was raining and last minute blinker guy hits blinker and smashes breaks. I slide down the road and we get into a small wreck. He gets out and proceeds to tell me he has warrants out and he's gonna go inside and say his wife was driving. I let the cop know. I have to go to court for a speeding in conditions tickets because of this jackass.

Some of you frickers wouldn't be happy if you were the only one on the interstate and the speed limit was infinity.

that's actually what you're supposed to do for any bottleneck.

This is correct. You should utilize all lane capacity available. Don't merge early if the unblocked lane is at a crawl.

It affects everyone at the intersection where the slow or no blinker people turn.

Scenario 1. You are driving South in the red car and about to turn right at the intersection. If you give a signal, the guy in the yellow car driving East can pull out & turn right sooner. You are holding him up.

Scenario 2. You are driving the red car South, stopped at the light & about to turn left. The purple car headed North across from you also wants to turn left. If you signal before the light changes (preferably before you get to the light) instead of waiting until it changes, you can both go without worrying about what the cars behind you might do.

People should realize there ARE other people driving around you. The turn signal is for them. It's not just something you have to do to keep from getting your lazy arse ticketed.

If these bad had ever lived in a city for more than a few months they'd know how to drive. There's a reason why a lot of rural areas have really high insurance rates.

Zipper merge

quote:

Zipper merging, however, benefits individual drivers as well as the public at large. Research shows that these dangers decrease when motorists use both lanes until reaching the defined merge area and then alternate in “zipper” fashion into the open lane.

Notice that this is a state Dept. of Transportation advisory.

Wreck on I-10 this afternoon and we're crawling along. I have a gap in front of me of 2-3 cars and the guy behind me wants to pass me on the rigth shoulder. Really? To go where?

Absolutely incorrect. The person behind you is not the only one that benefits from a blinker. Drivers all over the road, pedestrians, cyclists, etc, can make better decisions if you show your intentions. So, frick you.

Can we agree that driving 15 in a 35 should be a capital offense?
