Difference between Husky and Stihl is that a Stihl makes about twice the torque a comparable Husky does. Husky engines also do not last as long because you have to wind them up to cut. Not so with a Stihl. That and having to wait a week to get parts for a Husky

I have owned probably 10 different saws, and run probably 30 others. Take my word for it. Also, the farm boss might be good for once a year or every other year use, but is a POS in my eyes.

If you're frequently using a 290 then you're doing it wrong.

For a homeowner cutting firewood or someone with a little land that needs a 20" saw, it is an awesome saw.

It isn't meant for anyone making a living using a saw. That is why they make the 362.

That's all well and good, but this guy might just need something to cut a few limbs out of his yard after the hurricanes, not run a timber company.
