Truly one of the greatest athletes EVER to play at LSU.
In the 1950's- the New York teams had some amazing shortstops: Phil Rizzuto (Yankees), Pee Wee Reese (Dodgers), and Alvin Dark (Giants).
Some people think Dark was the best of the three.
He was a 3-time NL All-Star.
He also had a very successful managerial career, taking the Giants to the World Series and winning the World Series as the A's manager.
