Should the OC be held responsible for the offense...hmmm

Both QBs are still very young, and the receivers really didn't help jennigns out very much last night. Dural did make a few tougher catches, thats about it.
I'll reserve judgment til next season to see what kind of progress we see. Both players got some valuable experience this year (hopefully Harris gets some more here at the tail end of the season).
Lets see how that translates into our bowl game, and then in the off-season.

Sure, as long as you give him credit for that record breaking 2013 season.

I think the blame should be at least shared by Jennings and his limitations. Yes, Cam is the QB coach and should be counted upon to train and improve the players under his care, but maybe we haven't seen any improvement because AJ has simply reached his limit.
A QB coach, no matter how good they are at fixing mechanics, won't be able to turn Jeff Driskell into Andrew Luck. If a player has hit his ceiling, then he's hit his ceiling.
Look at Mett: Two years in the system without Cameron, one as the starter, and he was. . .serviceable at best. Cam comes in and BOOM, he's a first/second round talent.
I've said about the bland playcalling that I think Cam is handicapped by having to try and work around Jennings shortcomings, and I think the same (or a similar) argument could be made for the lack of development.

according to Hannigriff he should be. Charlie called him out on it last night in his opening statement in the post game show.
He said that CC has had over a year to get the passing game in shape and you can turn on the TV every Sat and see kids in the highlight reels with no better experience than LSU personnel and they are chucking it all over the place. One difference is that these other teams are making it simple for them.

I don't think you can say he hasn't improved. He has definitely improved. However, is the pace what we should expect? Not sure, guys develop differently.
Cam is certainly responsible and has a good track record. I do think AJ is the safer play now, but BH should be playing to develop him and his higher ceiling.
BH would have been a huge asset in the game Sat. At worst, he could have been 2011 JJ and run more option. Of course, he will be better than JJ down the line.

He is the captain of the ship and Les Miles is the admiral.

Yes but what can he do when the qb can't read a defense and doesnt posess a really big arm?
Posted on 11/9/14 at 7:52 pm to boxcar willie
Yes , he's paid a lot of money and is now our 4th offensive co.

until i have reason to think that Miles doesn't mettle with the offense and pick his qb and won't allow an OC to pick their qb then i have no reason to place any blame on CC.

Charles haneegriff said the same. Game was lost in April.

Cam coaches the sideline go route and the jump ball exclusively.
We never get anyone in a rhythm, with exception to the occasional running back.
Our poor QBs never get to throw it unless it is obvious to the entire stadium.
It works with NFL talent, which we had last year, it doesn't work to out scheme an opponent.
Of course, if Quinn make the catches it is a little better. But even if he does, we have less than 100 yards thru the air and less than 300 yards of offense, while absolutely dominating the time of possession..Oh, and 10 points that were not gifted. 10 points.
