I have the Charbroil Oil less. I love using it. I brine the turkey the day before then season and inject it the day of. It turns out great. I've done chicken, roast and wings on mine. The more you use it, the better it cooks.

Some people say it tastes just like one fried in oil, I disagree with those people

Same here. They are tasty but do not taste the same. We did both the last couple years on thanksgiving and there is a difference

The "oiless fryers" do taste different. They taste better. And are cheaper, a lot faster, and easier.

But hey, some people need a reason to stay outside and drink. I get that.

You got the charbroil one? I saw that butterball makes one now too.
Have you tried other things besides turkey

I got the butterball one and it has a woodchip tray and you can smoke things in it. I have smoked a pork butt and it is pretty good (as far as electric smokers go) and extremely easy. Cooking turkeys on there is absolutely no effort and taste amazing.

yeah once you buy $80 worth of peanut oil to fry a $20 turkey

I don't know where the heck you people shop, but Walmart has Lou Ana 3 gallon containers of pure peanut oil for $28.88. If you fried one turkey a year it would probably last 10 years or more. We fry at least four turkeys every year and strain the oil afterwards and it usually lasts at least three years.

You only need 3 gallons to fry a turkey?

only thing I fry in, better flavor than the cheaper oils

LARD > better taste than peanut oils.

But your only going to get maybe two birds fried with lard and need to throw it out.

Peanut oil you can fry 5-6 birds

Ask any of your Mexican laborers. They can tell you the cheapest place.

Then go buy a Char-Broil and quit wasting your time on those fried turkeys.
