This team is a mess

Corey White is lost as ever and one of the worst CBs in recent years here
Brees continues to be a turnover machine in crunch time because he feels he needs to press every play
Oline is shitty and stats don't show how bad they really are because Brees gets the ball out so quickly or avoids the rush
Colston is done
Payton continues to overthink key moments
Evans/Grubbs have dropped off significantly in production the past few years and it might be time to part ways with at least one after this season
The WRs can't get open
I feel like D can never be relied on in any critical moment to win the game
The sad thing? This has been a problem dating back to last season. Where do we even begin to pick the pieces up next year? This team isn't going anywhere this year even if they make the playoffs. They're bad. Really bad.
I hate to say it but I think it's time to get a QB to develop behind Brees. A lot of the problems are not just him but rather the team around him and he's pressing. He just doesn't feel comfortable anymore in the pocket and if anyone else was behind this line they would be on their deathbed. I don't feel like he's going to be here when his contract ends regardless what he says. I think he's going to retire. These past 2 seasons have probably put a ton of wear on his body.

No mention of the biggest problem of all - our coach and offensive play caller.
Downvote for that.

You're not gonna mention the good parts about the Saints?

I feel like we need one well rounded receiver that can do it all (Alshon Jeffery type) instead of 4 different ones who do one thing good.

I think Walter White might do better.

WRs are a huge problem for the Saints right now. They're not getting open and this was a problem last year too. When you have a RB who's rushing for over 100 yards a game it should be easy to get open due to the respect on the run. These guys just aren't that good. Colston is done. He has nothing left in the tank and DBs just sit on his routes he's so slow.

I still believe this is a good football team. We will be in the playoffs. We will beat Arizona in the NFC championship game keeping them from hosting a Super Bowl. We will beat the Patriots two weeks later.

Uhhh... The Jags and Raiders are a mess.
The Saints are a stone's throw away from a Super Bowl

The only good thing about the Saints right now is they're in the worst division in football. You can get hot at the right time because it happened to NYG a few years back. Doesn't mean it's going to happen here. Things like offensive line isn't just going to magically fix itself. This team is not capable of beating any good playoff NFC team unless it's in the dome and we're not getting homefield advantage so I would just take a playoff spot at this point and be happy with the season.

We are not a mess, we are an 8-8 team and playing like it. Sometimes 8-8 teams catch some breaks and win 10 but that's obviously not in the cards for this group. So we will win the division at 8-8 and maybe win a playoff game. Once you come to this realization, life is much easier.

Hey, anything can happen and I still believe; wouldn't bet the house on it though!

This team needs a defense above all. They are a problem every year. fricking can't consistently make stops and have huge lapses at the worst time.

Sure acting can happen but the ball just isn't bouncing our way this year. Remember the Meachem strip and the redskins missed field goal. Those breaks seem to be going to the opposition exclusively this year. The PI call on tg made Hail Mary is such a perfect example.
