This reminds me of a similar story from my hometown. It happened about 10 years ago. This is the best I could find.

This, gentlemen, is why you never offer money for sex, but instead ask if you can film it and have them sign a model release contract. Then you're not a john, just an adult film producer and actor.

Crazy, but a few years back I remember a lawyer talking about this at a party. Said "if it's for pornography then it is legal, as she is a paid actress and not a prostitute."
