Why are they "a-holes" because they want to escape the inevitable plummeting property values and increasing crime that comes with growing low income infiltration into an area?
They are a-holes because they aren't escaping it, they are causing it.

Shamrock Gardens kid here...
Did you ever see a rusted out '67 blue Chevy Malibu parked on Flannery?
That was my old neighbor, Mr. Buck.
He showed me those woods behind Victory Academy, and we hunted them until the early 90's.

What's wrong with Detroit? They'd fit right in.
Because obviously the answer is to ruin decent neighborhoods with section 8 housing.
Kind of like when you have cancer you try to spread it to the healthy parts of your body so it kills you quicker.

Did you grow in Monticello??
Damn shame they ruined that.

Glad i left all that behind. i left it because i could and feel not one ounce of remorse for those left to deal with it.

Its cute to hear the people say that they need God back in school and in everyday life, but vote 100% democrat.

quote:Is anyone here suggesting that? No. You're just positing it because it's a ridiculous alternative to your ridiculous suggestions. This problem isn't unique to Baton Rouge. It happens all over the country. Stemming the tide of poverty and crime can't be solved by simply moving people around. It's much deeper than that, and no one here has any inkling as to how to go about it.

If i live in a neighborhood and it ripe with rape, murder, aids and other criminal activity, i'm not going to stick it out just to try and show people i'm so tolerant that i'm willing to be murdered to show that.
Yeah, because when 5 white families move out when the first black family moves in it is because of all the murder and rape.

On that same page is a video about "White Suburbs want to create a new city". It's amazing how many people bought into the race card about St. George.

you're just making shite up,sensationalizing to fit your agenda of painting white people as all racists.

I grew up on Lakemont and went to Riveroaks. Those were the days. Sure, we did a drive-by now and then, but we were more polite about it.

you've got this place as the main culprit for the downfall of the entire N. Sherwood Forest corridor.
