Great suggestion here. Don't really understand the square root one. That's the quickest way to the dog house right there.

I see your point, but I can sit at the bar and talk with someone or sit at a table and just think, ponder and enjoy.

When I am alone, I know I'm not lonely, so I guess I don't think of it that way.

Thank goodness someone agrees with me!

I agree with ATL.. go somewhere you know she wouldn't like.

If I was gone, Jones would hit up lots of dirty Mexican joints (I like them, but never want to go when the time comes) or, most likely, Ruth's.

Oh man, I love it. I like being alone in general anyway. I generally sit at the bar if I go somewhere alone, but I'm not against a table.

I don't sit at the bar if I don't want to talk to anyone though. People WILL talk to you if you sit at a bar alone.

Really any burger joint at the bar would be ideal. Company burger, high hat, someone mentioned cowbell but that is too cramped for a solo visit IMO. You may have to squeeze in between 2 couples.

I guess I didn't factor in the fact that it'll be a weekend. When I did Cowbell alone it was a week day.

Before I moved to New Orleans, I worked here downtown quite a bit and thus would eat out alone. I spent a number of nights at the bar in Domenica, chowing down on a cheese and charcuterie plate and drinking wine/beer. Those were some fantastic times

I dine out alone a lot of the time, but usually during the week so seldom are places packed.

I sit at the bar, but when it is just me and the wife we often just sit at the bar anyway.

Funny

I do actually dine and drink alone quite a bit. I'm liking the Square Root so far. My go to spots are usually Boucherie, Cowbell, High Hat, Parkway, Superior Seafood (beer only food sucks), Magasin

So at first I really craved cowbell, but then it hit me: I've never had Hi Hat's burger. So after work Saturday I'm gonna hit that up. Can't wait! Will have pics
