Mark Ingram leads the NFL in rushing the rest of the way

It's no coincidence that the Saints' best performance of the season came when they finally saddled up Ingram and allowed him to do what he's been doing since last December -- tearing through defenses. Going back to Week 15 of last season, Ingram is averaging an eye-popping 5.7 yards per carry. He forced twice as many missed tackles of any NFL running back in Week 8. He leads all starters in yards after contact per attempt, according to Pro Football Focus. Ingram's game film has been among the most impressive in the league going back to the preseason. He's a legitimate stud. After Sunday's dominance, coach Sean Payton can no longer deny that he has been holding back one of the league's premier runners. -- Chris Wesseling.

Pretty bold.... even if we run him hard I don't think he rushes for more than a healthy Murray.

so they are saying from week 9 and on? because theres a 0% chance he leads overall.

no way he overtakes murray anyway. he could probably crack the top 5

Doesn't surprise me they said that considering he just played on the NFL Network. They're definitely trying to sell high on him

Doubtful given the return of Thomas and Robinson

Wesseling has been hailing Ingram as our savior since early offseason. Looks like he wasn't too off the mark. He picked us for the SB too

He might not get more than 15 carries a game the rest of the year with everyone healthy in our backfield

Why is it that no one realizes the 100% obvious truth? Ingram is only playing hard because it is a contract year, period. He will resume mediocrity, probably get bit by the nagging injury bug next season wherever he plays. Fact.

Coincidence? Armstead has been starting at tackle since he started this run! Give the O-line it's due!
