I'm fairly certain the seat belt laws were put into place well before the emergence of message boards

Ok. So what? You need a law to tell you that it's a good idea to wear your seat belt? Give your parents a little more credit than that.

I understand bitching about someone smoking where kids are trying to play

That is what this thread is about.

but people here will bitch about someone smoking a couple hundred feet from them outdoors

Nobody is doing that in this thread. So what is your point? That somewhere, at some point people bitch about unrelated things?

I smoke but I proudly do it away from others, especially kids. Common courtesy is a dying breed and people are too selfish to integrate that with smoking.

Do it away from people.
Everybody's happy.
The end.

I just saw that. Holy shite.

Smokers, have fun with your wrinkly skin, yellow teeth, incessant coughing, frequent visits to the cardiologist, and smelly as frick clothes, house and car and enjoy it like the trash you know you are.

it smells like shite and it is just overall disgusting behavior

Maybe you are very sensitive to smells, but someone smelling bad doesn't incite me to think "frick that person".

If their behavior involved shouting, fighting, littering, than that would bother me. But just a smell? No way

It's sad how many smokers think the earth is just one giant ashtray. Idiots.

Ok, let's not even stand over the fire. Let's stand there for the 15 fricking seconds it takes to torch a marshmellow. Now let's compare that to a person standing 15 feet away and you catching the faintest hint of smoke. Which is more harmful? You simple frick.

And I appreciate it. If you grew up at the bar while your dad got drunk and smoked in the corner maybe you would be a better American.

It isn't their smell that generates that feeling, it is the outward "F&(^ Everyone else" attitude by smoking where he knows people don't want him smoking

It's like driving in the left lane at the speed limit, going through the express lane with 20 items but making two ten item purchases, reheating tilapia in the office microwave, driving through the toll tage only lane without a toll tag, counting exact change for your $37.85 purchase etc etc etc.

You should talk to your psychiatrist about that.

If you would take every cigarette from every single person that has ever smoked one since tobacco has been rolled, it would not equal the amount of damage done to the atmosphere in 1 sec by the Volcano that is threatening to blow in Hawaii right now.

That depends, is the campfire made of cigarettes?
