PFF Stats of Saints, Game #8, Halloween Edition (NSFW)

Happy Halloween, everybody!
And to get us back to the topic of football...
STATS
Take these with a grain of salt.
Seriously.
Anyway, these stats are easily the best of the season.
And I find that incredibly encouraging.
OFFENSE
-Brees is now the 4th ranked QB by passing this season. Hell, He'd be third if Roethlisberger didn't have that insane monster game last week. Brees just isn't elite anymore, you guys.
-Our OL in the green are Armstead, Strief (really hope he's healthy), and Lelito.
-Man, Evans might really need to go. We're paying him a shite ton to be average. I don't know what happened to this dude.
-Stills had a bit of an uneven night.
-Graham is looking more and more healthy. Dude really is a beast.
-Ingram didn't pass block so well last night.
-Lorig...I just don't know why we got this guy. PFF ALWAYS had this guy in the red in Tampa. Now, I'm seeing why. Johnson>>>>>>>>>>Lorig.
DEFENSE
-Nice to see Galette with an absurd pass rushing score. If Newton wasn't so damn fast, he'd probably have sacked him a lot more. We need to contain better.
-Galette, Jordan, and even Hicks on top. This is the defense we all wanted to see.
-PRob. Has this guy turned a corner? The mistakes he was making in the beginning of the season have all but evaporated.
-I have to think this is Lofton's strongest season.
-Humber is not as good as I hoped. Waiting for Hawthorne to get healthy, and I can't believe I'm saying that.
-Marcus Ball just isn't what we need right now. Why did we get rid of Warren? Might it be time to try more Sunseri?
-Really proud of this unit. I never thought we'd see 6 defensive players in the green this season. They may be too dumb to absorb a complicated defensive scheme; but by God, they play hard.
-Last night, a Thrilling Ho pointed out that J Jenkins might be the most underrated player on our defense. I think his block-eating is very important to the DL, and it might be the sort of thing that PFF doesn't cover well.

Something about this stat got me peaked...
And its was Loring who knocked the ball out of drews hand I think.
I know he's rusty but c'mon man!

I would do 10 years in the penn for sponge bob shot girl

I don't see it as a coincidence that there are three linemen in both offense and defense in the top 5. That's the key to winning games.

I think you should move the pictures below the PFF scores. I got too distracted, and I forgot all about the scores... jk.
What I've been seeing the past few weeks are holding up true.
GB:
Robinson 46/62 snaps
34 coverage
+0.9 total
+0.8 pass coverage
Carolina:
Robinson 25/57 snaps
21 coverage
+2.4 total
+2.5 pass coverage
He looks more 2011-esque, which we all hoped for. Be it rust in the first two games or not, he's definitely playing at a new level.
Lewis with a +2.2 total, +2.0 in pass coverage. He shut down Kelvin Benjamin, something that Sherman AND E. Thomas couldn't even do.
We have a borderline shutdown corner for only 5.1mil/yr, and we have 3 more years of him on that contract.
Cameron Jordan and Junior Galette both showed up last night, that's what we've been waiting for all year long. Junior is the better pass rusher, but Cameron Jordan is the guy that can do it all. If plays like that every night, he's only 2nd to JJ Watt imo as a "I can do it all" DE
I've come to the conclusion Corey White is our new Jason David. Rodgers and Cam locked in on White a lot. He gives up plays, but he gets the turnovers. The whole "If you throw it at him enough times, he's going to make a pick"

Nice summary.
Yeah, I like White.
Always have.
Seems plucky.
I think our secondary is benefiting from Ryan's taking his head out of his arse.
Whatever ambitious crap he was pulling in the beginning of the season with that super-off man crap, he's stopped.
Now, the DB's are covering worlds better.

Like I said, when we had Spags coach the worst defense the league has ever seen, players said it was "too complex" of a defense and Rob Ryan made it easier.
That was when I was 100% sure our defense are a bunch of low IQ players. They are the type of players that you have to let them use their athleticism and not their brain.
This season, Rob Ryan tries to get fancy and complex the first what...5 games of the season? We fail like Spags defense did. Yet the last three games we've had turnovers and pretty much dominated opponents. Our players are just not geniuses, which I don't care if they are or not.

I have always thought the exact opposite. Dumb players don't seem to be CSP's MO.
I have always thought our players very smart and when they realize they were to slow to make the play!

Let the players do what they do, and they'll succeed.
They're talented, but they're not gonna take to complexities.

How about a NSFW there, Hoodoo.

I agree, tailor it to the players. We did it ALL last year, and it is unfortunate we don't have Byrd because I think he'd be feasting right now. Some of the plays Bush comes late on, I honestly think Byrd would have been 3-4 steps ahead. Just based off of his experience and understanding, I think he would have succeeded right now.
Look at the last 3 weeks:
@Det: 23pts, 344 yards, 3 sacks, 2 INTs, and 1Fumble
vsGB: 23pts, 491 yards, 4 sacks, 2 INTs, and 1Fumble
@Car: 10pts, 231 yards, 4 sacks, 1 INT, and 1Fumble
If we played this way for the 1st 8 games, 18.67ppg (would put us 5th), 355.3ypg (would put us 16th), 11 sacks (extrapolated would be 29.3 sacks - 1st), 5INTs (extrapolated would be 13.3 - 1st), and 3 fumbles (extrapolated would be 8 - T-6th).
Instead, we are now:
Yards - 18th
Sacks - T-17th
INT - T-17th
FF - 24th
PPG - 22nd
