Agree 100%

I agree, too. There's definitely a lot of talent and rising stars on the defense, but it just seems like they are playing better as a team, instead of just one or two stars stepping up. There's really not an All-American household name like Dorsey, P. Peterson or T. Mathieu, whose play raises the level of the whole defense. It's more like a lot of All-SEC caliber players who are starting to play very well together.

Do you really think Harris can't do what Jennings is doing right now? When Harris started vs Auburn, we had no rushing attack at all and our OL was struggling to say the least. Did he struggle vs Auburn? Sure. He was a true freshman making his 1st start and it happened to be on the road vs a top 5 Auburn team. And guess what? Jennings has struggled in pretty much every game, and def struggled vs all SEC opponents. 49.4% completion, 3 TDs, 2 INTs, 34 carries for 47 yards(1.4ypc), and a few fumbles vs SEC opponents. That's over 4 and a half games.

You are judging Harris based off what he did in his first start, on the road vs a damn good Auburn team. I guarantee you he's a different player right now. Even Les has said Harris is improving a lot each week. And it's not like Jennings is doing anything. If we would call the same plays and have the same gameplan with Harris as we do with Jennings, it wouldn't be any worse. And it would most likely end up being better once Harris got comfortable out there.

And I'm not even aaying we should start Harris over Jennings right now. I'm just saying there is no way that Jennings, who is 118th out of 126 in completion % in the nation, dead last in the SEC in compeltion %, and is bottom of the SEC in yards, TDs, ratings, etc.... No way that he is the MVP of our offense at the halfway point of the season. Not by a long shot. He's about as unimpactful of a starter that we have.

Imagine if Lael Collins wasn't out there and someone else had to play LT...

Really surprise Hunter isn't consensus here. To me, he's SO much better than anyone we've got out there, but again, that's strictly my take. If we said MVU - the U being for unit - I'd say the DB's on that question.

Offense.......man, that is tough. I actually kinda like the fact that it's tough/think it's a good thing in general.

Not sure who I'd say on offense, but I do know this....that offensive line has shown as much improvement as a unit than quite possibly any unit I've ever watched LSU field. They went from what I'd have considered to the greatest "unit bust" in the history of LSU, to a unit that actually played better than the most overhyped/unrealistic of the preseason praises said. The work they did against Ole Miss was absolutely beautiful. It's, IMO, the very reason we overcame all the missed opportunities, turnovers, and blunders that we witnessed.

fricking Kragthorpe could give us 90% of what Jennings does. "WATCH WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TAKE HIM OUT!!"

You mean like against Miss St and New Mexico State when Harris came in and played 100 times better than jennings?

Yea but let's reference the auburn game again where our defense gave up 24 points in the first quarter, compared to completely shutting ole miss down. Kind of changes the role of the qb huh? Not to mention Jennings came in with a quarter and a half left in that game and couldn't even put up a score against auburns backups in garbage time.

MVP...Jesus Christ.

The answer is Collins on offense and either Kwon, Beckwith or hunter on D.

I absolutely do. Everything we do runs through the left side of that offensive line. If Collins goes down we are fricked. If Jennings goes down I'm not even sure it's a bad thing, but it's certainly not close to as bad as losing any of the o linemen that just dominated the last 3 games.

Not enough love for Dural. He was spectacular through the early part of the season and has made more big plays than any other player we have on offense. It's a shame he has no QB worth his scholarship to throw it to him.

I mean no one on here agrees with you. If Jennings is our offensive MVP you might as well just state a hypothesis that the qb is always the most valuable offensive player regardless of how good he is or how much influence is has on the offense.

False. re-read.

While that might actually be true, in the case of LSU it's because of the drop off.

No one knows this.U cant get 2 coaches to put the exact 2 names down on this.
Some of u spouting off like u know something. Pls.
Its an opinion roll with it. Certainly no need to chastise on this topic.

My last two cents on this.
Collins is the best player LSU has.
Beckwith is more valable than him moving forward if he plays like he did against Ole Miss.
QB is the most important position on the field.

If Jennings was out the line in Vegas would move more than if Collins were out.
