and they never thought....hey, I wonder why nothing is booked this day?
Women and guys that let their wives schedule weddings in November dont think that way.

Me too. Wifes cousin getting married that day. To each his own, but I wont be there.
I will not be there as well. I went to LSU and this tailgate/game is like a homecoming for a lot friends that got jobs out of state.

I don't even get the people in this thread mentioning bye week weddings.
No fall weddings.
No fall weddings.

When we were scheduling our wedding, I was so paranoid about football that I made us move our original date back a week just in case the Saints made the playoffs, got to the divisional round, and randomly got the Saturday night game.

We will also be having our DJ announce the scores
A DJ at a wedding? Bet there's a cash bar too.

I mean.....everyone has the right to just not go if they don't want to.
Fair enough…but is it her right to write a pissy blog to berate and belittle those who choose to attend or watch the game instead of go to her wedding?
"This game happens every year, we are only getting married once" is a very selfish statement, in my opinion.
Well ya know what? I only LIVE once and if I choose to follow or attend a football game instead of wasting 4 hours of my life at yet another wedding, then don't make me feel bad about it.

You don't schedule weddings in the Fall on a Saturday...ever. Even if you do due diligence and schedule it on a bye week, things can change and suddenly the schedule moves and your wedding in on a game day. Or, years layer, your anniversary falls on a game day and you have to choose between it and some anniversary thing.
There are 8 other months to choose from...pick one of them.

Weddings don't just "fall" on a certain date. Like this shite isn't in her control.
I like how she urges people to DVR and watch at a later time, then goes on to say the DJ will announce the score periodically.
Yea frick that noise, I'd be in Tiger Stadium.

My wife's cousin got married during the Saints SB run in '09. I told my wife I wasn't going and started a landslide. Shortly after, her dad, brother, and brother-in-law all said they weren't going.

Don't even start, Nurse. Anyone who is football-aware as she claims to be knows that football season is a dicey prospect for wedding dates.
And this problem is a common one. It's talked about all the time when it comes to planning weddings. To not think of it, is a ridiculous error.

My wife asked me before the ole miss game if I was sure I still wanted to go to the game. I told her we could be 0-9 and I'm still going to the Bama game.

Google "November 8 Louisiana" and guess what the second hit is? LSU v. Alabama.
Do you think that happened a year ago?

And lolz that some of you guys think the New Orleans area is made up of only LSU fans. You'd be amazed at the amount of the people that will be at that wedding regardless of a game.

LSU charges $100+/game and 102,000 fans show up. Weddings are free and still no one wants to go.

To an immature arse that hinks a football game is somehow more important than a wedding.

My wife wanted to schedule our wedding on the LSU-Bama game because she said it would keep the wedding small with only the people who matter to us and vice-a-versa.
We're not religious people, so at that point I realized that we should just elope and spend the money on a vacation instead.

Yup. And many chose not to. But shes the one calling them out on Facebook after denying television at the wedding. What a bitch.

I don't know what part of NO you grew up in, but I've never had a difficult time finding Tiger fans in NO.
