They are saying that one week's rankings will not have any bearing on the next week's rankings.
How can that possibly be true?
At any rate, they have opened Pandora's box for teams running up the score for style points.

I'm curious to see ole miss's rank after auburn puts a beat down on them. Will they fall below LSU?

Win shitty against a bad team? Drop.
Lose close against a great team? Maybe not as big of a drop.
Isn't that difficult.

I think they mean that one loss teams can drop and leapfrog even if they both win but one plays a shitty team and the other plays a top 10 team.
That will be refreshing.
But I'll believe it when I see it.

I don't mind the rankings, but they contradicted themselves hard.
Ole Miss gets the credit for the Alabama win which is nice to see. But Arizona beat Oregon on the road, Baylor beat TCU, and LSU has a top 4 win and their losses are against top 3 teams but Oklahoma is ranked ahead of them.

OM lost to a ranked LSU team on the road that has only lost to #1 and #3. AKA a very good team
Zona lost to an unranked USC team
Baylor lost to a unranked WV team
I do agree that OU ahead of LSU is wrong but at that point whats it really matter?

We got destroyed in our 2 losses. OU did not. That's why they should be, and are, ahead of us.

That's debatable because we did have a chance to win that Mississippi State game and only lost by 1 score. I do agree though that OU should be ranked ahead of us just because they haven't been blown out yet.

Arizona's only loss is on the road, by 2. I know USC is bad but it isn't the worst loss ever and they beat Oregon at Oregon.
WV is ranked and is no slouch.

Probably not.
No team in contention has a 5 touchdown loss on their resume.

Careful with that truth, there....

One team ranked ahead of lsu had to score a last second TD to beat mcneese...
Really though at this point if you are outside the top 10, then not much to fret about. Just win out and see where the cards fall

I think they did pretty well with the rankings, doesn't matter what they did people like you weren't going to be happy
