Geno Smith officially benched

Rex did clarify that Smith is not necessarily benched for the rest of the season, but Michael Vick will start Week 9 against the Chiefs. To this point in the year, Geno has made eight starts, completing 56.2 percent of his passes with an anemic 5.9 YPA -- down a full yard from his rookie season. Geno has 12 turnovers and eight all-purpose TDs. The Jets currently have a 1-7 record.

They need to draft O lineman in the first 3 rounds and try and trade for a serviceable QB. They have decent playmakers.

Gannon was breaking down Vick last week talking about where the plays were designed to go on certain routes. Gannon ran the same offense. Vick was looking right when the TE was running left wide open. With some extra first team reps I think Vick will improve their offense. That said, their offense is a dumpster fire.
