I have an 11 yr old son who is Autistic, attends general education classes in public school. For some odd reason everytime my son passes gas and it stinks the teacher automatically sends him to the office to call home stating he crapped himself. Yet when other students pass gas they are not sent home. What can i do about this? I feel as though they are profiliing my son because of his exceptionalities.

Does he wear pull-ups or something?

go have a meeting with teacher and principle, face to face.
find out what the deal is, and why he's being singled out. And if he isnt shitting himself, why they continue to claim he is. Also explain, if the meeting is going nowhere, that you will be seeking legal counsel for your son.
dont be a dick, but if they do not answer ur questions or play it off, then hammer them

Does he have an IEP?

yes but doesn't have a fart clause in it, this is not the first time they have sent him home for this reason.

How do you know the other kids are farting?

definitely ask for a meeting
and if your son is not shitting himself, then make sure to get the result you want, or then threaten legal stuff.
no reason to be doooooshbags to the kid, because he farted.

How many times is everytime?
ETA:
And what's he eating to smell that bad? Maybe tweak his diet?

Had he crapped himself other times this has happened? Or have those been a false alarm as well?

jeez, do the teachers think autistic means retarded?
I don't have any stats on this, but I think autistic kids can control their bowels.
