Yeah, I'm not on that page either. Racism today isn't stuff like you get lynched for talking to a white woman, it is more like you get pulled over for not having your seat-belt, stared at while you are eating lunch in Cracker Barrel, or profiled as an affirmative action product instead of treated like just another person (as you would be if you were white)

In places other than TD I tend to associate with people who understand these things are real but around here there's an interesting perception that people are somehow color blind with respect to black people (while those same posters simultaneously make a decent number of assumptions about most random black celebrities or random people who pop up as discussion points on the OT etc).
